About the Role
A leading UK food manufacturing site is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team. This is a key role in maintaining essential production equipment, delivering both proactive and reactive maintenance, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. You will work within a fast-paced, highly regulated setting where engineering reliability and attention to detail are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Perform fault diagnosis, repair and preventative maintenance on a range of production machinery.
Support safe, compliant operations by adhering to Health & Safety, GMP, HACCP and COSHH requirements.
Work with PLCs and automation systems (Mitsubishi experience is desirable).
Liaise with production and other departments to support operational goals.
Accurately log completed work via the Computer Maintenance Management System.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Requirements
Time-served Electrical Engineer with relevant qualifications or apprenticeship.
Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally food or FMCG.
Proficiency in electrical fault finding and mechanical maintenance.
Familiarity with PLC/servo drive systems (preferably Mitsubishi).
Good communication skills, a team-oriented approach, and a flexible attitude.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene standards and site-based safety systems.
