Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure hardware (servers, switches, routers, PDUs), rack and run cables
- Run, label, and dress cabling for interconnected systems
- Linux and Windows system administration, including patching and security
- Maintain virtualized environments (VMware, KVM, etc.)
- Implement network monitoring, management, and security protocols
- Create and maintain diagrams, documentation, and operational guides
- Troubleshoot technical issues, providing support to teams and customers
- Identify opportunities for automation and develop supporting scripts/tools

- Experience supporting enterprise datacenter environments
- Strong background in Linux and Windows system administration
- Knowledge of networking protocols, routing, ports, and firewalls

The apprenticeship takes 3 years to complete and will lead to nationally recognised qualifications. The engineering technician apprenticeship covers a range of topics, including:

Identify faults in high-voltage and low-voltage vehicle systems using diagnostic tools and schematics

Support the design, test, and implementation of solutions for electrical faults and component failures
