About you

Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Sales and Technical Specialist to promote and sell concrete block admixtures within the construction sector. This is a remote opportunity, ideal for an individual who thrives on combining technical knowledge of concrete admixtures with strong sales skills. This role requires understanding both the technical aspects of the products and the needs of the clients to deliver tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the concrete block industry. Manage key customer accounts and build long-term relationships. Provide product demonstrations, technical advice, and training to clients on the use and benefits of admixtures. Prepare and present product proposals and negotiate contracts. Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs. Conduct market research to identify new trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
Technical Support: Offer technical assistance to clients in selecting the right admixture products for their concrete block needs. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the application of concrete admixtures. Work closely with R&D and product development teams to provide feedback from customers and tailor product offerings. Provide training to customers on the proper handling, mixing, and application of admixtures. Support the marketing team by contributing to product-related content, including technical brochures and case studies.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Chemistry, or a related field. Proven experience (3+ years) in sales or technical support within the construction materials industry, preferably with concrete admixtures or similar products. Strong understanding of the manufactured concrete (block, pavers and mcp) process and the role of admixtures. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and industry trends is a plus.
Preferred Skills: Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools. Technical certifications in concrete technology or related fields. Multilingual capabilities are a plus.

Position Summary:
Travels to field job sites giving routine guidance and assistance with job startups, coating inspection and problems encountered on the job. Assists in routine in-house work such as product evaluations, equipment maintenance, panel preparation, and other duties necessary for normal function of the department.
Essential Functions:
Preparation of panels prior to coating. Have a good understanding of the basic operation of hand tools, power tools, abrasive blast cabinet, and pin welder. To include minor maintenance of same. Provide documentation for panels which will be tested. Spray nuclear testing orders upon certification. Starting position in Field Service, will handle routine field jobs within capabilities. Contact customers/salesmen to gather pertinent data prior to field trips. Demonstrate proper use of mixing equipment, airless and conventional spray equipment, etc., to apply Carboline products in the assigned divisions. Interpret surface preparation standards per specifications. Demonstrate use and techniques involved with inspections equipment. Train supervisors, inspectors, and painters in the above technical areas. Assist in application of new or revised product evaluations, new equipment evaluations. Carry out procedures as defined in the Technical Service Procedures Manual. Perform additional duties as assigned Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent, 2-year college Chemistry or minimum 5 years Technical Service experience. Valid driver's license. Valid Passport NACE Certified CIP preferred Level 1, NACE Level 2 or NACE Level 3, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires occasional physical activity. May require lifting up to 75 lbs. on occasion. May require computer usage for an extended period of time - up to 8 hours in a day. Be able to climb and meet the requirements of a 1A Ladder. Occasional exposure to various chemicals. Will require travel of 50% plus, including nighttime and weekends. Must be able to pass a respirator fit test & maintain respirator requirement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implement material cost saving plans where and when appropriate. Participate in annual budget planning. Assist in all compliance activities, especially Hazcom and maintaining SDS system. Other projects/tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Degree in Quality, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials, Polymer, or Business.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
2+ years' related experience. Experience in Quality Programs (Lean, ISO, Six Sigma).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
ISO certification.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
