GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The BIM Specialist is responsible for transforming conceptual layouts to full fabrication and installable LOD400 models of metal panels that integrate with the building design along with associated shop drawings and custom Revit schedules to facilitate shop fabrication. The ability to perform minor changes to existing Revit families desired, or knowing when to reach out for advanced help. The BIM Specialist will support senior modelers and project teams and promote the best tools and Revit/BIM best practices for each project with required configurations and deployments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain, modify and if able create new Revit families alone or in conjunction with the BIM Manager for the Texas Panel Plant. Create models using Autodesk Revit. (Current version plus three release back) Create project specific 2D and 3D drawings and models for project submittals, special projects, bid packages, and product manufacturing (i.e. Shop Drawings). Coordinate and assist with any addendum, request for information, change proposal requests and change orders; make necessary revisions to existing drawings. Prepare final drawings based on prior work examples and input from designers and/or engineers. Establish, implement, and maintain quality control procedures. Document RevitBIM standards, processes, procedures, and workflows to ensure consistency and quality across projects. Identify and resolve clashes, conflicts, and discrepancies within Revit/BIM models to ensure smooth coordination between various disciplines. Collaborate across functions to ensure accurate and timely designs in accordance with established budgets and estimates. Prioritize all work in accordance with project deadlines. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Groundworkers are the first trade onto a construction and civil engineering site. They work closely with supervisors and engineers in interpreting design specifications and will prepare the site ready for the structural building works to take place.

Working alongside our experienced staff, you will support and contribute towards the physical construction of a wide variety of features including, site clearance, fencing, drainage, earthworks, pavements, kerbing, footways, block paving, traffic signs, road markings and retaining walls
You will have the opportunity to learn how to operate small mechanical plant and machinery used in the maintenance of highways and the safety methods involved around operation of plant and equipment
You will be taught how to undertake general manual labouring work, assisting in excavations, reinstatements and specialist practices such as asphalt mixes, landscaping, structures and temporary traffic management
You will be responsible for your own safety on site as well as your fellow workers and the public, this will be done by adhering to directed safe methods of work at all times

Training Outcome:On completion you will receive a national qualification and will have satisfied the requirements for registration as an Engineering Technician by the relevant professional engineering institution in accordance with the requirements of the Engineering Council as the registration body. You will be joining a well-established company, located in Isle of Wight, working in a variety of different industries, specialising in designing and manufacturing specialist computing platforms, engineered to meet the client’s exact requirements and needs. They design many different products such as mobile tablets and boxed computers, through to complex racks and innovative IoT platforms. They design their products to withstand extreme and harsh environments.
The Project Manager, will be reporting into the Project Team Lead and will be responsible for:
- Preparation of Project Plans with associated budget, resource requirements and schedule as required
- Working closely with cross-functional business teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to cost constraints
- Management of a mix of multi-project portfolio ranging from short duration express projects (1- 3 months) and more complex longer duration engineering projects (1-9 months)
- Contribution with technical and engineering resource requirements for business planning and budgeting
The successful Project Manager – Isle of Wight will ideally have:
- Experience of project managing a variety of electro-mechanical and/or computer hardware products
- The ability to demonstrate successful management of multiple concurrent projects to time, cost and budget.
- Experience of working to the ISO 9001 standard or a professional and process driven Methodology
- Skilled in Microsoft Project (or similar tool) Gantt charting, task and resource planning.
- Skilled in identifying key dependencies, critical paths, and constraints
- Experience within the Defence Sector and a recognised project management qualification (eg. Prince 2) would be highly advantageous
