A Multi-Skilled Vehicle Accident Repair Technician repairs all elements of a vehicle after it has taken some type of collision damage.
This will involve learning the skills required to take an accident damaged vehicle through various stages of repair to the pre-accident condition.
These fall into three main areas of skills training:

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Maintenance Technician supports and ensures the completion of day-to-day maintenance activities at the plant. The position provides support to leadership for all maintenance staff to drive excellence and maximize effort. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspect and repair plant equipment, including but not limited to mechanical, welding, carpentry, electrical, instrumentation and controls to minimize downtime. Document accurate maintenance activity records. Clean and maintain assigned areas and tools to ensure proper functionality. Participate in the continuous improvement process. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
One-year certificate from college, technical school or manufacturing training program. One additional year of experience plus high school diploma/GED in lieu of higher education is acceptable. Two additional years of experience in lieu of formal education is acceptable.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Maintenance Technician I: No prior experience required unless noted in the education section.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Capable of installing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC. Ability to troubleshoot electric, air systems, and hydraulic systems. Knowledge of lockout/tagout, arc flash requirements, confined space entry and hot work permit . Ability to work overtime as needed; ability to meet deadlines. You will work independently and as part of a team following a defined process, using the skills to correctly identify the different body panel types and have the ability to use the correct repair tools to carry out the work to the highest possible standard.
You will receive training and support throughout your qualification the successful candidate will learn to remove, repair and replace vehicle body panels and components of the vehicle safely and efficiently, using a variety of body repair panel tools, equipment and devices.
Duties to include:
Assessing a vehicle to establish the extent of damage
Based on the initial assessment, deciding whether to repair or replace bodywork
Removing damaged panels
Refitting new/repaired panels
Repairing damaged bodywork using traditional dolly and hammer or more modern techniques
Repairing small dents, holes or corroded areas using a compound filler
A certain amount of administration and customer interaction is also required:
Keeping a record of work carried out and time taken
Liaising with the customer or insurance company

Training:Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
Alongside your day role, you will work to complete your apprenticeship with your external training provider

Upon successful completion of the programme and subject to performance you may have the opportunity to move into a permanent role within the team or business area where you completed your apprenticeship

Produce drawings and Revit models for detailed design for each phase of building construction including planning, tender and final issue.
Produce drawings and models for the use in site design and development.

You will be undertaking the Civil Engineering Technician Standard Level 3
In addition to the Apprenticeship Standard you will receive the following training:
1 week induction
In-house training on all company policies and procedures
In-house AutoCAD and Revit Training
Will be supported by mentor within team
Apprentices could go on to study HNC/HND’s/ Apprenticeship Degree’s in their subject or could move into full-time employment.
This Apprenticeship is delivered on a day-release basis as 4 days in the Employer workplace and 1 day attendance at Lincoln College.Training Outcome:
