Here's what you can expect every day:
Stages and charges necessary raw materials into process flow tanks. Follows batch work instructions in order to manufacture quality products.
Prepares disperser and letdown tank for production, including any necessary equipment clean up.
Monitors and controls high-speed disperser, mixer, pumps, flow meters and other instruments in order to make sure that a batch is produced according to work instructions.
Adjust a batch, under QC guidance, until it is approved.
Get batch tickets from floor supervisor and discuss with floor supervisor the best order. Determine raw materials needed.
Housekeeping - Clean up work area to 5S standards, takes out trash, participate in cycle count and inventory program.
May assist in other departments such as filling, and material handling or help make sample batches
Ensure work area is safe, clean and free of recognizable hazards, communicating all spills or other hazards to the shift supervisor
Responsible for Dust collector cleanouts when required.
Required Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one year of production experience (compounding/batchmaking)
Able to read batch tickets and prepare labels for products; basic math
Able to operate high-speed dispersers and other operating equipment
Ability to lift 50-100 pounds, read digital scales and flow meters

Assist the Laboratory Manager / Supervisor in ensuring that all equipment control checks are undertaken in accordance with company calibration procedures
Achieve the Qualifications, Training and Experience required to become an NDT Technician
Complete a Log/Note Book of inspections carried out which shall be retained for future reference
Complete all the requirements of the apprenticeship scheme Including remote theory sessions performed and organised formal training and exams at Lavender International training centre in Penistone
Training:This apprenticeship programme is designed to gain skills and technical expertise to become a certified NDT Operator in three NDT Methods. This includes health and safety training, 1-to-1 mentoring, seminars, practical work experience sessions, and on-the-job training.
The candidates will keep records of their learning and experience throughout the programme and create an improvement plan.

You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food with the aim to delivering an excellent customer experience. You would also be required to undertake all reasonable duties as assigned by the Head Chef.
Ensuring all menu items and specials are prepared, cooked and presented to company specification
Maintaining portion control and ensuring wastage is kept to a minimum
Receiving and checking food deliveries
Assisting the Head Chef with orders, stock taking, food hygiene, training and development of the team
Ensuring that all kitchen equipment is maintained and is working correctly
Maximising the full sales potential of the restaurant and ensuring high standards are maintained

As part of this apprenticeship you will work towards an industry wide recognised Level 2 in Food Production and Cooking. The training will be delivered in the form of work-based learning and will include functional skills.
The Apprenticeships last for 12 - 15 months and will enable you to develop through a structured training programme. As an Apprentice with Marston's, you will gain a nationally recognised Standard giving you an ideal grounding for a career in the hospitality industry.
