About the Role:
Were seeking a skilled and reliable Mobile Vehicle Technician to join our expanding team, covering Cheltenham/Gloucester and the surrounding region. Youll work independently, travelling to customer locations to carry out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives outside the traditional workshop environment and enjoys the freedom of working on the road all while earning a competitive salary and benefiting from a strong rewards package.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mobile diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles
Attend roadside breakdowns and customer call-outs as needed
Deliver a high standard of customer service at every visit
Accurately complete job cards, reports, and paperwork
Maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
Previous hands-on experience in servicing and repairing vehicles
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Confident working independently with a customer-first mindset
Good time management and communication skills

Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
Bathing
Rug changing
Attending competitions as a groom or with own horse if desired
Training on own horse
Hacking
First aid
Exercising horses from the ground (lunging and long reining)
Holding for vet/farrier/dentist/physio
Grooming at competitions
Training:
You will be working towards achieving the Level 2 Equine Groom apprenticeship with the employer and supported by Haddon Training
All training will take place at the employer's premisesIf you have not achieved grade 4/C in English and maths at GCSE, Haddon Training will support you in gaining Functional Skills qualifications in these subjects
Training Outcome:
Progression to the Level 3 Senior Groom and or full time employment

Greta was born in Melbourne, Australia and lived there until she was eight-years-old. The family then relocated to the United Kingdom where she and her twin brother Silas started riding. Equestrianism became a big part of Greta’s life as, after moving to England, her mother Sarah became a successful horse breeder after a mare they owned was injured and could no longer be ridden so was put in foal. Silas is now an equine vet.
Greta was an active member of the Burghley Pony Club, taking part in all activities and teams, including representing her Club at the Pony Club Championships on three occasions. Your duties will include:
Assisting with financial record-keeping and bookkeeping tasks
