General Labourer. Our client, a leading solar company work undertake works throughout the UK, are currently recruiting for a General Labourers to join their ongoing project in Chippenham
As a General Labourer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the site is kept clean, and tidy, and that works can proceed on site as planned. You will be taking direction from the Site Management Team, along with also working closely with the sub-contractors on site and assisting them accordingly.

Due to the UK skills shortage within the automotive sector, you will be the next generation of technicians with the ability to adapt and change. This is great role for someone who is willing to jump start their career!
Duties include:
Find and diagnose faults using hand tools or a computer
Advise customers on what repairs are needed
Estimate time and costs for jobs
Road test vehicles to check repairs
Tyre fitting
Repairs to exhausts, batteries, brakes, and servicing
Training:The apprenticeship training is delivered via weekly block releases at S&B throughout a year, learning will also take place in the workplace and a S&B Development Coach and Workplace Mentor are allocated to support and monitor your progress to help you reach your goals and manage your workload.

You will be exposed to Network Design, as well as getting hands on with configuring and testing networks in our lab area
Work on real projects which may include re-signalling parts of the UK rail network, developing the latest signalling & control system
Develop excellent knowledge of technical standards and processes associated with the transport and process industries
Become a STEM ambassador and participate in various volunteering events, such as Greenpower, Big Bang Fair and much more
Collate evidence during the apprenticeship scheme in preparation for professional registration, such as EngTech
Training:Whilst on the Apprenticeship you will be following an apprenticeship standard ST0496 Rail and Rail Systems Senior Engineer, Signalling and Control Systems Pathway.
