Vehicle Technician Apprentice

We are currently looking for a Enthusiastic, reliable and friendly Apprentice Vehicle Technician. You will be training to work on a wide range of heavy and light commercial vehicles and cars, together with other workshop duties as required.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

Learn and assist in performing routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tyre fitting, filter replacements and fluid checks. Observe and assist in diagnosing and repairing various automotive issues under the guidance of senior technicians. Help with installation, repair, and replacement of automotive components, such as brakes, suspension systems, and exhaust systems. Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly handled and stored. Follow safety procedures and guidelines to minimise the risk of accidents or injuries in the workplace. Assist in conducting basic vehicle inspections to identify potential problems or areas requiring attention. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks. Develop strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to diagnose complex automotive issues.

Training:
The learner will be studying the Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification. Day release to West Suffolk College.

Opportunity to become a qualified vehicle technician.



Employer Description:
Large independent workshop in Kentford. An MOT test centre, also providing service & repair of heavy and light commercial vehicles and cars.

Working Hours :
Monday-Friday (8am-5pm).
