Fabrication and Welding Apprentice

Preparation and cutting of materials. Following engineering drawings. Using manual tools. Applying health and safety practice with PPE at all times. Fabrication tasks as reasonably directed. Operation of various machinery. Work safely in an engineering environment.  Working efficiently and effectively in engineering. Using and communicating technical information. Producing sheet metal components and assemblies. Producing plate work components and assemblies. Preparing and using manual MIG/MAG and other continuous wire welding equipment. Preparing and using manual TIG/TAG or Plasma-Arc. Preparing and using manual metal Arc welding equipment.

Training Outcome:

Potential full-time job upon completion of the apprenticeship.



Employer Description:
The laser cutting division of Metalcraft, Bradford began in January 2011. This seemed a natural addition to the group having sourced laser cut parts for many years for fabricated projects. We now supply laser cut parts as a independent service.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, working hours will be confirmed at interview.
