CC15 Early Years Modern Apprenticeship at First Footsteps Ltd - Leyland

To be trained to undertake the same responsibilities as an Early Years Educator

To contribute to a high-quality caring environment for the children, this includes creating a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere in which the children can develop emotionally, socially and educationally through individual attention and group activities.

Key Areas:

To work with children To attend training To complete all assignments on time To be part of a team To attend all associated training To liaise with student mentor 

Responsible to:

Nursery Manager/ Deputy Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

Attend college (when necessary) and complete all assignments set To attend team meetings and inputting ideas Under supervision to provide all aspects of care for children including washing changing and feeding To assist with meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children To provide adult interaction with the children in the Nursery. Undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery Undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery To be aware of the Nurseries policies and procedures and always adhere to these

Training:

Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:

This Apprenticeship is completed within the workplace You will be assessed through written work, verbal discussion and observation throughout your training You will be given time by your employer to complete portfolio work, attend training, workplace shadowing and any other opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge

Training Outcome:
Progression to level 3

Employer Description:
We are a group of 3 nurseries, 2 being based in Liverpool and 1 in Leyland. At Leyland we have 4 nursery rooms starting from our baby unit to our Pre-School room. We have an excellent team of staff who are very supportive with our students and always there to help. We have a total of 16 staff with a range of skills and knowledge.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 8.15am - 5.15pm with 1 day off the job to complete college work and assignments.
