Advanced Gardening Apprentice
Meet team at the yard or directly at the clients garden.
Assist in loading tools and having a deeper understanding of
the day’s tasks.
Conduct an initial assessment of the gardens and help plan
prioritise for the day.
Engage with clients to maintain a positive rapport, and address
any specific requests.
Work discreetly and professionally. Closely alongside the team
as well as working individually.
Perform a variety of gardening tasks with a focus on quality
and efficiency.
Planning and coordinating with colleagues to ensure smooth
operations.
Understanding the aims for each garden, incorporating clients’
desires and planning for future visits.
Ensure all garden work is left to high standard and taking time
to appreciate the garden and the work completed.
Helping with the planning of gardens,
Ending the day by cleaning and maintaining tools, and
emptying work vehicles
Learning supervisory skills
Training:
There will be training throughout the apprenticeship offered in short 2 day blocks throughout the programme.
Training Outcome:
For the right candidate there is the potential for full time work following the completion of the apprenticeship and potential of managing additional staff members and gardens. Potential for flexible part time work.
Employer Description:
Henry, the owner, is a gardening enthusiast with over 8 years of experience. He enjoys the close-knit dynamic of his team and is passionate about the outdoors and working with nature. He brings a friendly, energetic, and sociable vibe to the company, making it a fun and inspiring place to work.
Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 (8 hour day). Weekend work and overtime available.
