Teaching Assistant Apprentice

Supporting and supervising pupils with special educational needs. Helping pupils stay safe and engaged in learning activities. Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children to take responsibility. Assisting teachers with lessons, adapting activities and resources for pupils. Helping with classroom displays and setting up creative activities. Supporting children with reading, writing, and numeracy. Encouraging safe play and interaction during break and lunchtime. Supporting children with autism and speech/communication needs to play, interact, and learn together.

Training:

Level 3 Apprenticeship in Teaching Assistant consisting of:

Level 3 Apprenticeship in Teaching Assistant. Level 2 Functional Skills in English (if applicable). Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths (if applicable).

You will be required to attend a half-day session with HBTC where you will work towards any functional skills (where needed) that you have to take. There will also be an end point assessment. 



Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be an opportunity for you to advance in the workplace or go on to higher education.
