Apprentice Dental Nurse

Setting up & closing down of surgery Assisting dentist/hygienist in clinical procedures Providing chairside assistance Decontamination of instruments Ensuring all relevant materials and supplies are in place Maintaining patient’s clinical records (during exams etc.) Prepare instruments for procedures Maintain impeccable standards of hygiene/cross-infection control (according to guidelines) Follow all practice protocols and procedures

Training:
Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship Standard 1 day per week to attend class at Newcastle

Training Outcome:

Dental Nurse, Dental Therapist or Hygienist in future with further qualifications.

Monday, 08.45-13.30, 14.00-17.00. Tuesday, 08.45-13.00. Wednesday, 08.45-13.30, 14.00-17.00. Thursday, 08.45-13.30, 14.00-17.00. Friday, 08.45-13.30, 14.00-17.00.
