Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Apprentice

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine servicing and reactive maintenance on high-tech automated machinery, including SSI SCHÄFER systems Diagnose and resolve faults in mechanical, electrical, and control systems using industry-standard tools and techniques Replace and repair essential components such as motors, sensors, actuators, and wiring to ensure smooth operation Test equipment after maintenance to confirm optimal performance and compliance with safety standards Accurately document maintenance activities, faults, and resolutions to support efficient operations and company protocols Collaborate with a skilled team of engineers to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability Adhere to strict health and safety procedures while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills in mechatronics and automation within a supportive and innovative environment

Training:
Qualification Level: Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship Duration: Typically 3–4 years, depending on the employer and individual progress Delivery: A mix of on-the-job training and off-the-job learning at MK College Content Includes: Mechanical and electrical engineering principles Robotics and automation systems Control systems and diagnostics Health and safety in engineering environments

Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, we aim to offer the apprentice a Level 3 Engineering role within the business This position may be based at any of our operational sites, depending on business needs and available opportunities at the time
