Warehouse Operative Apprentice
Responsible for the warehouse process in specific area
Ensure all equipment is maintained and operated according to the SOP’s
Ensure all work supports a food safety excellence culture through adherence to food safety standards
Ensuring Key Performance Indicators production targets are met
Ensure there is an accurate record of stock within the warehouse
Ensure all items moved, shipped or received are logged in the correct manner
Ensuring storage areas and the warehouse are kept tidy and identify areas where processes could be improved
Ensure goods don’t get damaged
Ensure the bulk assemble pick sheets are dispatched with maximum efficiency
Adherence to food safety rules/processes
Load/unload goods from the truck
Check all loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt
Ensure all items which come in and goes out of the warehouse are recorded correctly
Ensure adherence to good hygienic practices in the warehouse liaising with Supervisor and Hygiene Team
Actively promote clean as you go at all times
Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with Dalziel Ingredients guiding and operating principles
Ensuring that communication between staff members/department is ongoing
Report all machine faults to supervisor and the maintenance team
Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety
Identify and report all unsafe operations to supervisor and safety reps immediately
Supporting the activities of production personnel to ensure effective performance of job duties
Ensure Team comply with set health and safety policies when carrying out job duties
Training:
Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2.
Training Outcome:
Potentially a full-time role available for the right person upon completion of apprenticeship. The employer is invested in progressing staff within the business when the opportunity arises.
