Product Quality Engineer (Contract)
We are seeking an experienced Product Quality Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and reliability of end-to-end satellite communication systems. This role covers product assurance across design, manufacturing, integration, testing, and launch phases, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers. Based in London with a very attractive hybrid working arrangement, this will be a 12-month contract (extension likely). The rate is negotiable dependant on experience (inside IR35). What youll do: - Lead programme-level product assurance activities across hardware, software, and systems. - Develop and implement assurance plans in line with AS9100, ISO 9001, and ECSS standards. - Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and partners to ensure compliance and delivery. - Oversee supplier quality, materials, processes, inspections, and audits. - Drive risk management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. What youll need: - Bachelors degree in engineering (electronics, aerospace, mechanical/materials, or similar). - 5+ years experience in product assurance on space projects (ESA, UKSA or similar). - Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and ECSS standards. - Experience working with and managing suppliers and vendors. - UK or EU (27) Citizenship required.
