Director of Engineering

DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING - PAPUA NEW GUINEA OPPORTUNITY

 

I  have been retained by a well-established hotel in Papua New Guinea that are looking to strengthen their team by adding a Director of Engineering. The Director of Engineering will be responsible for the overall management of the hotel's physical plant and engineering operations, ensuring the property is well-maintained, safe, and efficient. This role involves overseeing maintenance, repairs, and renovations, managing budgets, and supervising engineering staff.

 

A bit about the role, but not limited to:

Maintaining the hotel building, grounds, and all related equipment, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.Ensuring the hotel meets all safety and security standards, including fire safety, emergency procedures, and compliance with local regulations.Developing and managing the engineering department's budget, controlling expenses, and tracking capital expenditures.Hiring, training, and supervising engineering staff, delegating tasks, and conducting performance evaluationsImplementing and overseeing a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to minimize breakdowns and extend the life of equipment.

 

Ideal candidate: 

Previous Marriot hotel experience7-10 years expereince with 3 year in a Director positionability to lead and manage a teamremote island experience 

 

Salary package: USD5000 - 7000 net + accommodatio, flights per year, visa, medical, food and beverage allowance, visa (not negotiable above this bracket)
