Manufacturing Engineer
Manufacturing Engineer Location: Fareham Salary: £40,000-£50,000 p.a (DOE) Hours: Full-time, permanent A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading electronic manufacturing business based in Fareham. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in ensuring all assembly equipment, production processes, and procedures operate efficiently and deliver products to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities - The Manufacturing Engineer will support production teams to meet delivery targets and uphold the highest assembly standards. - Liaise closely with Operations, Production, and QA to prioritise workloads, resolve engineering issues, and maintain process efficiency. - Develop and control detailed manufacturing documentation, ensuring that all processes meet customer and regulatory requirements. - As a Manufacturing Engineer, lead improvement projects including tooling enhancements and process optimisation to boost efficiency. - Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and assist Product Engineering teams with Design for Manufacture (DFM) feedback. - Maintain control of Bills of Materials, configuration changes, and engineering packs in collaboration with Product Engineering. - Communicate technical reports and process performance updates to both internal teams and customers. Qualifications and Experience - Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or related discipline. - Proven experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer within electronic manufacturing. - Knowledge of PCB design principles is essential. - Excellent understanding of project planning, process improvement, and configuration control. - Capability to coordinate with multiple departments to deliver production and technical objectives. Personal Attributes - Strong communicator (written and verbal) and comfortable leading discussions with production and engineering teams. - Self-motivated Manufacturing Engineer who can identify and resolve production process issues independently. - Organised, methodical, and accurate in maintaining technical documentation. - Calm under pressure and able to motivate others in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
