General Farm Worker Apprentice
On the farm, your daily tasks will include:
General farm work
Checking stockEwe and ram husbandry
Tagging Assisting in shearing and fleece wrapping Lambing, rearing and hand feeding as necessary Castrating and ringing lambs Feeding ewes and lambs and bedding when housedCow, heifer and steer husbandry
Tagging Recognising and treating cattle illnesses Assisting in clipping for sale Feeding, bedding Calving, rearing and hand feeding as necessaryPotential tractor work, grassland/arable depending on location on farm
Training:
General Farm Worker (Livestock) Level 2 Apprentice, including Functional Skills if required for the End-Point Assessment
Training Outcome:
Possiblilty of full time employment upon successful completion of apprenticeship.
Employer Description:
Biddlestone Town Foot Farm is a family-run farm with mixed livestock including cattle, sheep and grasslands. It is located near the village of Rothbury in Morpeth, Northumberland.
Working Hours :
30 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, to be arranged
