Childcare Apprenticeship - Heckmondwike

As a member of the team at Laugh and Learn nursery you will be supporting other staff members and children with their everyday needs. You will gain lots of skills and confidence from the team who will support you with your new role and qualification. Childcare is a rewarding career but is hard work and not for the faint hearted, the rewards from the children make it so special and every day is different.

Your role will include: 

Supporting managers and team members within the room you are based in. Making sure you follow the policies and procedures of the setting at all times. Keeping the children safe from harm. You and other people in the team will need to make sure all the areas in the setting are clean/tidy and safe for the children. Setting out and tidying away activities indoors/outdoors (even when it is windy and raining) Helping at mealtimes 

Training:

Paragon Skills is a leading national Apprenticeship training provider, supporting over 4,000 learners and 1,500 organisations. Paragon Skills has some of the highest success and achievement rates in the industry. 

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact. 

This involves regular catchups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study. 

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12-month apprenticeship, you will have gained; Early Years Practitioner L2. 

Training Outcome:

Possibility of a full time role after the completion of the apprenticeship.

We are a family run nursery, 2 sisters who set up in 2006, wanting to offer a family feel nursery Laugh and Learn Day Nursery is located in the centre of Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire in a large beautiful Georgian town house. Our goal is to provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment for our Laugh and Learn Day Nursery. The nursery is graded a Good Ofsted provider.

Working Hours :
Monday-Friday (Between (07:30-18:00)
