Key job responsibilities
Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll develop technical and professional skills, including: Developing a comprehensive skill set essential for modern HGV driving Gaining your professional Class 1 license while mastering advanced vehicle handling techniques and learning smart route planning and optimisation Training in industry-leading safety practices and modern logistics technology, ensuring you're equipped with the latest innovations in transportation Developing expert customer service skills, as our drivers are the face of Amazon to many of our customers
These combined skills will form the foundation of your transportation career, preparing you for success in this dynamic industry.
Training:
The successful applicant will complete and obtain a Large Goods Vehicle Driver C+E qualification Level 2 Qualification through Learning Curve Group.
Throughout your 10-month apprenticeship, you'll work towards becoming a qualified HGV driver – combining practical, on-the-job experience with industry-recognised study. You'll learn to safely operate heavy goods vehicles, perform trailer moves in Amazon yards and on public roads across multiple site types. Apprentices will operate scheduled shifts and be home at the end of every shift (no long-haul multi-day trips).
Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the qualification, there may be scope for a full time role within the business

Working Hours :
• 40 hours/week, with overtime as required • Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays Exact shifts TBC.
