Metal Fabrication Apprentice

Assist with the fabrication, assembly, and installation of metal structures and components.

Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and workshop equipment safely:

grinders drills saws welders

Measure and mark out materials with accuracy.

Support qualified fabricators and welders in day-to-day workshop and site tasks.

Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Maintain a clean and organised workspace.



Training:

This programme is delivered using a day release delivery model.
This requires your attendance, one day per week at our engineering campus (NG17), during term time.



Training Outcome:

Full time employment upon completing apprenticeship successfully.

Utilising 15 years of personal experience working in a variety of fabrication roles 1st Fabs was Launched by Greg. The main reason for launching is the passion for fabrication and metal work, not only a passion but a desire to do things right and provide honest customer service. At 1st Fabs we enjoy our work and spend our time researching and investing in new machinery and tooling to improve our works. Since forming with welding and fabrication we have moved into in house machining and finishing services in order to bring as many aspects into our control with a view to offering an enhanced customer journey.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 8 am -4 pm
