Supporting Children’s Learning and Development
Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities linked to the EYFS framework. Support children’s play, exploration, and creativity. Encourage communication, language, and social interaction.Help children develop independence in daily routines (e.g., dressing, toileting, eating)
Safeguarding and Welfare
Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure children’s safety. Supervise children during play and activities, maintaining safe environments. Support children’s emotional wellbeing and help them regulate feelings.Working with Staff and Families
Work under the guidance of qualified practitioners.Contribute to observations and assessments of children’s progress. Communicate positively with parents and carers, sharing information appropriately. Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Practical Responsibilities
Help set up and tidy away resources and equipment.Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in play areas. Assist with snack and mealtimes. Ensure materials are prepared for planned activities
Professional Development
Complete training tasks and coursework as part of the apprenticeship programme. Reflect on practice and seek feedback from mentors. Develop knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and EYFS curriculum.
Training:
Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English if not previously attained at GCSE Blended Learning approach of online and face-to-face learning
Training Outcome:
Potential to secure a permanent job role upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday - 34 hours per week (times to be confirmed). Term Time Only.
