Early Years Educator Apprentice

Pre-School Room (3–4 years old) & Baby Room (6 months–2.5 years old):

Support daily care of children, including feeding, dressing/undressing, and personal hygiene. Plan and assist with age-appropriate learning activities, both indoors and outdoors. Ensure children’s safety and wellbeing, following safeguarding procedures. Maintain cleanliness and prepare rooms for the next day. Engage positively with parents and guardians in a friendly, professional manner. Work collaboratively as part of the nursery team. Communicate effectively and listen attentively to children and colleagues. Be comfortable participating in outdoor activities in all weather conditions.

Training:

Early Years Educator (Level 3) apprenticeship, including Functional Skills in English and maths if required.

Learn practical childcare skills supporting babies or preschoolers, plan activities, understand child development, safeguarding, and health & safety. Complete assignments with tutor support, gain hands-on experience, and develop the knowledge and skills needed for a rewarding early years career.

Training Outcome:

Successful apprentices may be offered a role in the nursery after completing their apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Working Days: 5 days a week (nursery open 7:30 am–6:30 pm) Weekly Hours: 35 hours (flexible within opening hours)
