Hairdressing Apprentice

Our apprentice hairdressers learn essential skills on the job, including customer care, working as part of a team, salon operations and diary management, alongside technical hairdressing skills such as styling, cutting and colouring. Learning to be a successful hairdresser takes time and patience and requires so much more than technical ability. People skills are absolutely critical. You will be taught and assessed in-salon but must have an appetite to learn through observing and shadowing others too. 

Training:

This qualification is Level 2 Hairdressing which awards a Diploma for hairdressing professional. It takes 18-24 months and comprises multiple modules along the way and a crucial end-point assessment to determine your readiness to take on clients of your own.
Functional Skills Level 2 in English and maths will be provided for those without Grade 4/C (or equivalent) if required. 
Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date. 

Training Outcome:

We train apprentices with the view to keeping them in our team beyond training and to build them into successful stylists who want to keep working with us long term. This requires both parties to have confidence in the apprentice as a great hairdresser and employee.

Established for 19 years we are a busy salon with a regular clientele. We are a hard working team of supportive, friendly hairdressing professionals with pride in our work and each other, dedicated to giving our clients the best experience possible.

Working Hours :
Tuesday to Saturday, shifts to be confirmed. Min 30 hours with min 6 hours training
