Apprentice Secondary School Science Teacher (Physics specialism)
Plan and teach well-structured lessons
Set homework and plan other out-of-class activities to consolidate and extend the knowledge and understanding pupils have acquired
Set goals that stretch and challenge pupils
Demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils
To promote good progress and outcomes for pupils in line with the school’s targets
Be accountable for pupils’ attainment, progress and outcomes
Plan teaching to build on pupils’ capabilities and prior knowledge
Guide pupils to reflect on the progress they have made and their emerging needs
Training:
Teacher Apprenticeship.
Apprentices will undertake the level 6 teacher apprenticeship programme delivered by University of Staffordshire
Teaching will be a mix of on the job and off the job training delivered face to face in university and online sessions each week. The programme is delivered using a blended learning model.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, apprentices will achieve their level 6 teacher apprenticeship and gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Training Outcome:
Opportunity for a full-time role upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Potential to progress onto mentor development programme following successful completion of ECF.

Working Hours :
Monday – Friday 8.15am – 3.25pm Attendance at after school meetings/CPL/Parents’ Evenings, where required Each week at least 1 day will be spent in learning either face to face or online.
