Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you’ll do at work:
All aspects of horse care e.g.

Grooming Mucking out Trimming and clipping Plaiting Lungeing and riding Health care Feeding Assisting with running of events Assisting with customer care and experience Functional Skills if required

Training:
Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills

Training Outcome:
For the right candidate there may be progression on to the Level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship

Employer Description:
Fort Widley Equestrian Centre is part of the Peter Ashley Activity Centres in Portsmouth. They offer riding lessons, RDA, pony parties and much more.

Working Hours :
30 hours a week on a rota system to be issued in advance. Will include evenings and weekends. Shifts to be confirmed.
