Civil Engineering Apprenticeship - Level 4 Civil Engineering Senior Technician

Assist with surveys, inspections and investigations for highway improvement and or maintenance schemes and other engineering projects as directed. Assist with the varied day-to-day activities and general administrative duties of the section within the Engineering Design and Highway Management groups. Assist with the preparation of reports, studies and estimates.

Training:

Joining the thirty-month programme on a higher degree apprenticeship, you’ll have a structured training programme in either our Engineering Design or Highways and Traffic Management group whilst working towards gaining the level 4 apprenticeship for Civil Engineering Technicians at a local college.

Alongside completing your apprenticeship qualification, you’ll also have the opportunity to work in one or more of the following areas:

Highway Design Bridges and Structures (including bridge maintenance) Highways and Traffic Management, which maintains, operates and improves the highway network Highways Development Management, working on the approval of developers' infrastructure plans

Training Outcome:

There are no guarantees of employment at the end of the programme, but we would expect the apprentice to apply for further employment, ideally within the Council or within the wider Devon economy.

Working Hours :
As a guide, you will be working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 9am to 5pm.
