Machining Apprentice
Load and prove machine tool programmes on CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine tools in accordance with approved procedures
Prepare, set up and operate CNC turning, milling and grinding machines
Quality assurance is the product's machined
Adhering to the health and safety procedure
Training:
Engineering Operative Level 2
Functional Skills (if required)
The apprentice will attend The Sheffield College (Olive Grove Campus) 1 day per week
Training Outcome:
Potential progression onto Level 3 Apprenticeship with the possibility of full-time employment, subject to successful completion of the apprenticeship.

The engineering company is fortunate to have kept skilled / knowledgeable members of staff with over 35 years of experience on machinery, drawings, treatments and manufacturing standards. Arnold Wragg has been trading in industrial fasteners for the last 50 years, originally from a work shop in Stannington in the 1950s before moving to our current modern unit in Sheffield 9 years ago.
Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm and Friday 7.30am - 3.00pm.
