Lean Manufacturing Apprenticeship

The apprentice will experience all aspects of manufacturing, gaining experience in departments such as:

Stores Surface Mount Conventional Assembly Test and Inspection Electromechanical Assembly Learn about manufacturing processes Programming of equipment Problem solving Production engineering

They will be supported by a mentor who will help in developing skills and follow the training plan.

For the right person there is the opportunity to progress to a permanent role within DJ Assembly, joining the team on a full time basis.

Training:
Level 2 Lean manufacturing operative standard, 12 month apprenticeship course Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills) Functional Skills Level 1 in English and maths will be provided for those without. Apprentices must also take the test for level 2. Training on site at DJ Assembly, Huntington Recruiting now for 2025/2026

DJ Assembly are leading Electronic Manufacturing Partners based in York, UK. Working with a huge range of organisations from dynamic local partners to global tech companies, military contractors and academic institutions. DJ’s projects include the development of green energy technologies, electric vehicles, gas measurement, flow control and lighting. as well as motor racing, 3D scanning and military prototyping. DJ offer IPC 610 Class 2 or 3, with a specific emphasis on the development of test and control processes to exacting customer standards.

Working Hours :
Standard hours are: Monday-Thursday 7.30am-4.30pm Friday 7.30am-12.45pm
