Apprentice Engineering Operative

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

Developing an understanding of the principles of engineering Developing skills in engineering, such as welding and fabrication, electrical design, manufacturing, and mechanical engineering Becoming competent in the safe use of machinery Developing an extensive awareness of health and safety requirements and understanding how these apply both in the workplace and in college Developing a continuous improvement methodology

Training:
The Apprentice will work towards their Apprenticeship Standard in level 2 Engineering Operative The successful candidate will be assigned a dedicated assessor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course. This is a Day Release programme, which means you will attend Lincoln/Newark College, 1 day per week, term time only. This will fall within your contracted working hours.

Training Outcome:

Upon successful completion of the Level 2 Apprenticeship in Engineering, the post-holder will join their team on a full-time basis. There is also the opportunity to progress onto Level 3.
