Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship
Work with individuals or small groups of children under the direction of teaching staff
Establish positive relationships with pupils who are supported
Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher
Support pupils with activities which support literacy and numeracy
SkillsSupport the use of ICT in the classroom and develop pupils’ competence and independence in its use
Promote positive pupil behaviour in line with school policies and help keep pupils on task
To respect confidentiality at all times
Participate in the evaluation of learning activities with the teacher, providing feedback to the teacher on pupil progress and behaviour
Training:
College day release will take place at Dilkes Academy, South Ockendon or Chelmsford College depending on where the apprentice lives. Day release at college will take once per week.

Treetops is a day special school for children and young people between the ages of 5 and 19 who experience moderate learning difficulties.
Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 9am to 3.30pm.
