Junior Buyer / Stock Controller Apprentice
Providing support to the stock, purchasing and manufacturing areas of the business, this role will allow the individual to learn and develop various purchasing techniques, stock profiling and coordination working in a commodity and engineering company environment.
The successful candidate will be trained in all aspects or procurement, ideally able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and being confident in communicating at all levels.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
Sourcing stock globally, ensuring best market value Rationalise suppliers, building a manageable vendor portfolio Ensuring stock availability whilst maintaining safety stock levels in line with order books Negotiating costs and SLA’s in line with business requirements Full administrative tasks in line with all duties mentioned including inputting of dataTraining:
In addition to gaining practical experience in the role, you will also attain an NVQ Level 3 Business Admin qualification which will help start your career and give you an insight into the businesses processes and procedures Our training is all completed remotely via teams with a development coach who will be available for support 24/7 and will arrange weekly/fortnightly meetings with you You receive 20% off-the-job training during this apprenticeship which is included in your weekly working hours
