Apprentice GRP Process Operative - REF 14814

To make GRP products (mainly slides for play ground equipment) from start to finish. Mould preparation (New / Refurbish/ Minor prep). Gel processing (brushing& Spraying) - Tint colour mixing. Drilling, Trimming & Sanding using electric/battery/air operated hand tools. Applying chemical-based coatings. Polishing, assembling & packing. Operation of various hand tools and cutting machines. Interpret drawings to acquire correct sizes, cut-out requirements and orientations of products. Follow work plans exactly. Constantly look to improve quality of products.

Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative  Functional skills  Work based learning 

Training Outcome:
Progression onto full time employment
