Mechanical Fitter Apprenticeship

Working alongside experienced and qualified staff, you will learn the core skills of a Mechanical Fitter.

Working under supervision, you will work towards being responsible for a range of tasks:

To build and manufacture mechanical units, Undertake initial disassembly, fault find and repair assemblies, The fitting requirements of mechanical assemblies to the relevant manufacturing standards in accordance with the drawing and associated documentation requirements

Training:

Advanced Engineering Apprenticeships normally last four years during which time you will attend our Training Centre on day release followed by one day per week for basic training and Further Education.

The remainder of your time will be spent with your employer, training in Engineering. Wigan & Leigh College will monitor your Apprenticeship on a regular basis to ensure you achieve the standards required including core skills, knowledge and occupational behaviours in preparation for End point assessment

Apprenticeship may lead to permanent employment Further in-house and external training and development available Potential L4 / HNC for the right candidate at the right time

Working Hours :
Choose one of the following work patterns: 6:45am to 16:30pm 7am to 16:45pm 7:15am to 17:00pm 7:30am to 17:15pm 07:45am to 17:30pm. Lunch is anytime between 11.30am and 1.30pm for 30 minutes.
