Commis Chef Apprentice

You will work daytime hours (4 days) and will have the opportunity to help create exciting menus that cater to the tastes of our diverse clientele.

You should have a passion for cooking and be eager to learn. Good communication and organisational skills are needed for this role. We have a friendly team whilst having fun along the way. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for cooking and to work with both of our Chefs and become part of our team.

Prepping food for both breakfast and lunch menu, helping both our Chefs to prepare for the day and the coming week. Learning how the kitchen runs, hygiene and cleaning practices, being involved with the menu choices twice yearly. Coming up with a Special which we will put on our specials board and enjoy being part of our fun team.



Training:

1 day release at Bournemouth and Poole College.



Training Outcome:

Progression to Full Time employment.



Employer Description:
We are a lovely little cafe in Hyde in the New Forest. We have a team of 2 Chefs already alongside 8-10 front of house staff. We have a great reputation for home made food and enjoy some very good reviews. We are busy all year round but very busy in the summer season so it is a very busy position.

Working Hours :
4 days per week plus 1 extra for day release college. Days and shifts to be confirmed.
