Apprentice Electronics Engineer

Day-to-day duties will include:

Assembling and testing high voltage and electronic equipment to design specifications Following clean assembly protocols for precision parts and components Completing test sheets and maintaining accurate production records Supporting the production of advanced subassemblies, including high voltage cables, plugs, and electron sources Assisting with technical troubleshooting and providing feedback on test results

As you progress, you will be supported in developing further capabilities including:

Diagnosing product failures to component level, Recommending process improvements and Interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals

Training:
Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying Day release training at Derwent Training will take place once per week (Mon-Thurs, TBD once enrolled)

Training Outcome:
A full-time position for a candidate that shows commitment and a willingness to learn

We build and supply our own electron emitters for a wide range of machines including SEMs, electron microprobes, e-beam lithography, and other e-beam instruments. We also refurbish and upgrade under performing or non-operational instruments.

Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
