Machine Shop Apprentice

In this job role you will:

Use equipment such as lathes, drillers, grinding, welding and CAD equipment to manufacture and component required by department Assisting with maintaining tools, jigs, fixtures and equipment Assist with the manufacture and assembly of special purpose machinery  Assisting with the manufacture of new tools, jigs and fixtures Use various engineering materials: Mild steel to EN19, Aluminium, Phosphor Bronze, Copper, Nylon, Plastic Train others if required Work in a team Complete relevent paperwork, route cards and daily check sheets Keep work area clean and tidy

Training:

Machining Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

You will be required to attend In-Comm Training 12 Vigo Pl, Aldridge, Walsall WS9 8UG 2 and a half days per week for the first 14 months

Training Outcome:
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship there will be a full time position available in the company with opportunity to progress to Team Leader

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday, 8.00am - 4.30pm and Friday, 8.00am - 2.00pm.
