Equine Groom apprenticeship - Olympic Dressage Yard
We are looking for a groom who will be completing all associated jobs involved in the care and welfare of horses. This is a competition yard with high level horses, to include all general yard duties :
Mucking out/ keeping yard tidy Turning in and out Filling haynets/ water buckets Making feeds Grooming / picking out feet Tacking up / untacking Travelling to shows as a competition groom possible for right candidate Some riding available for right candidate, although this will be an apprenticeship where you will not be assessed on your riding capabilityTraining:
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
Training Outcome:
Possibility of Level 3 Equine apprenticeship upon completion of the Level 2 or a full time job.
Support in achieving your career goal and ambitions, as all previous apprentices have passed with distinctions!
Employer Description:
In 2001 Gareth Hughes set up his own yard and in 2011 Gareth, with his wife Rebecca, moved onto their own premises in Warwickshire where Hughes Dressage was born.
Working Hours :
Working 4.5days out of 7, with this role, please expect to work weekends. Final shift pattern to be discussed and agreed with successful applicant.
