ASB and Community Safety Officer Apprentice
Respond to reports of community safety on a daily basis
Provide crime figures on a regular basis to senior management and councillors.
Attend the monthly Joint Action Groups and CHARMM meetings (the problem solving groups)
Use problem solving techniques to respond to ASB case reviews
Assist in delivering the objectives set out in the Community Safety Action Plan
Make safeguarding referrals for our most vulnerable
Develop relationships with partner agencies
Review the council’s approach to public space CCTV
Training:
Training is delivered remotely via online classroom sessions with a tutor.
The sessions are delivered to cohorts of no more than 10.
There are around 2 classroom sessions a month . The calendar is set in advance so learners are aware of the timetable.
Training Outcome:
Apprentices who complete this apprenticeship can work across differing sectors such as Local Government, Police, Housing & Fire Services.
They can specialise in particular areas such as domestic abuse, legal work, training, vulnerability & support.
They can progress to Team Leader, Manager, Head of Service and there are many other opportunities within the sector, particularly in social housing.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday usually within the hours of 9am to 5pm
