Finance Apprentice
Assist with carrying out a range of finance task, such as:
Producing regular reports from the University’s financial system Preparing monthly / quarterly management accounts Preparing and consolidating the annual budget and five year plans Assisting with the preparation and audit of the statutory accounts Conducting ledger and bank account reconciliations Entering accounting adjustments Undertaking student billing and credit control activities Testing systems and validating master data Administering purchase order creation Processing accounts payable Handling insurance claims Undertaking VAT transactional activity Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and apprenticeship mentor. Interact effectively with students, customers, suppliers and staff of the University Undertake any other appropriate duties as requiredTraining Outcome:
Upon completing this apprenticeship you have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to work in a range of finance roles and you will have the practical experience of working in a large and multidisciplinary educational organisation. We will work with you to identify suitable roles beyond their apprenticeship.
