Apprentice Teaching Assistant

Assist with the implementation and delivery of planned learning activities as agreed with Inclusion Specialist, Associates or Teachers.

 Adjust and adapt activities according to pupils’ responses and needs as appropriate.

Work with individuals or small groups of pupils under the supervision of teaching or specialist staff and provide feedback.

Assist with pupils’ personal needs, hygiene, pastoral care, safeguarding and welfare; reporting and sharing key information as required.

Assisting and supporting in all aspects of school life, including; preparing and maintaining the learning environments, attending events, trips and visits and preparing resources.



Training:
Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date.

Training Outcome:
Possible permanent position upon completion of the apprenticeship.

Employer Description:
Palm Bay Primary School is located on the Kent coast over looking Palm Bay and the North Sea between Margate and Broadstairs. It is a part of East Kent College (EKC) Schools Trust, catering for boys and girls in the primary phase of education, from 4 -11 years of age. It opened in September 1995 and has had five highly successful Ofsted inspections and reports.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm, with an hour lunch break.
