Planning Officer

In the Principal Planning Officer role, you will:

Managing major and complex planning applicationsLine managing and support a team of Planning OfficersProviding pre-application advice via our advice service and duty officer linePreparing reports and present at Planning Committee (monthly attendance required)Monitoring team performance and support professional developmentWorking to deadlines and contribute to efficient service delivery

To be successful, you will need:

A degree (or equivalent) in Town Planning or related disciplineRTPI membershipExtensive experience in development management, including complex applications and committee reportingStrong leadership, organisational and communication skillsAttendance required at monthly Planning Committee and site visits

This is a temporary, fixed term assignment for approximately 9–12 months. You'll be working full time, with hybrid working (ideally 1–2 office days per week based in Colwyn Bay – flexible and discussed at interview)
You'll start on a salary of £24.75 per hour plus benefits including weekly pay, holiday accrual and more.
