Recruit4Staff are proud to represent their client, an internationally renowned construction & civil engineering company in their search for an Estimator  to work out of their London or Swindon Offices 

For the successful Estimator our client is offering:

Competitive Day Rate Days role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours Start date of 2 June 2025 Contract role until 25 July 2025 with a potential for extension Office-based 5 days per week

The Role - Estimator:

Preparation of detailed and accurate pricing for tendersSupporting Clients with pricing support for Early contractor involvement projectsWork in coordination with the Bid Manager to ensure competitive pricingAdvise Bid Manager on sufficiency of Client bill of quantity/ activity schedule and arrange for full quantity take off or checking as requiredProvide advice to the Bid Manager/ Design manager on the most competitive design optionsEnsure company governance procedures are followed at all timesProvide price alternative design solutions

What our client is looking for in a Estimator:

Previous experience in a similar role with a civil estimating background - ESSENTIALDegree in Civil Engineering/Construction - DESIRABLEPrevious experience of working with Tier 1 contractors - ESSENTIAL Background experience of working with highways - ESSENTIALDetailed knowledge of estimating software packagesMust be an effective communicator with experience presenting to clients Knowledge of relevant procurement legislation with commercial awareness of different forms of contract
