My client is looking for a talented Naval Architect to join their expert team based at Portsmouth Naval Base. What you’ll be doing:

Performing structural analysis using ANSYS Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and theoretical methods Conducting ship stability assessments with Paramarine software Supporting inclining experiments on naval vessels and conducting post-analysis evaluations Designing ship modifications and capability upgrades Carrying out drydock technical assessments and contributing to ship maintenance planning Consulting on naval base infrastructure requiring naval architecture expertise Involvement across the full ship lifecycle—from concept design to in-service support for naval platforms

What we’re looking for:

Degree-qualified (MEng) in Naval Architecture, Marine Technology, or Ship Science (essential) Experience with ANSYS Workbench FEA tools (desirable) Familiarity with Paramarine or similar naval architecture software (desirable) Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Inventor (desirable)
