Production / Design Engineering Apprentice
Support the product design manager and secondly the production manager
Aid in bespoke product design. (extrusions, sheet metal, plastics)
Aid in testing new products. (photometry and thermal)
Produce engineering drawings
Use various CAD packages to programme CNC machines
Be responsible for the tooling, consumables and maintenance of machinery
Research products, competitors and components
Support production in assembling products and running machines
Training:
Engineering Manufacturing Technician Level 4 (Higher national certificate) Apprenticeship Standard:
The qualification will be delivered on a day release basis - one day per week at Wigan & Leigh College, with the rest of the week in the workplace The apprentice will attend Wigan & Leigh College's Pagefield Campus based at Walkden Ave, Wigan WN1 2JHTraining Outcome:
Potential for full time employment on completion of the course. Continued growth with the company Future studying will also be supported

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday, 08.30 - 17.00 and Friday, 07.30 - 16.00 (2 x 15 minute breaks and 1 x 30 minute lunch break
