Groundworker Apprenticeship
As a Groundwork Apprentice, you will support experienced groundworkers in preparing construction sites for building work. You'll be involved in activities such as:
Site preparation Trench digging Concreting Laying drainage, and kerb laying, gaining the skills and experience needed to build a successful career in the construction industry Basic principles of Building Information Modelling (BIM), drawings, method statements, manufacturers’ information, work schedules and specifications Understanding the differences between modern and traditional construction methods and the physical and environmental factors when undertaking construction work and their potential impacts Establishing work area protection Understanding the principles of health, safety, welfare and environmentally responsible work practices and how they must be applied Measuring, marking, cutting and installing geo membranes to stabilise soil Understanding the techniques to handle and move loads manually and with mechanical assistance Conforming with productive working practices and completing the work in accordance with the programme of workTraining:
Groundworker Level 2.
Training Outcome:
There may be the opportunity to progress on to a higher-level qualification or secure a full-time employment.

Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30 Friday: 07:30 - 15:30
