Early years apprentice
We have an apprentice position available working with our children aged 9 months to school age. All our apprentices study and are employed on 23-month contracts. You will have the opportunity to work in two different age groups during your studies. If you are passionate about providing our nursery and preschool children with an exciting, safe, secure and fun environment that offers adventure and friendship to help them begin a life-long love of learning – we want to hear from you! You will see the potential in all the children in our care and will work closely with our team to create interesting opportunities for each child to develop, shine and grow.
Whilst some experience in a childcare setting would be preferable, we are interested to hear from you if you are looking to begin your career in early years. The post is listed as full time, but we are committed to supporting your studies and would support up to 6 hours a week as dedicated study.

Your role involves supporting the smooth running of the nursery during lunch time and assisting with activities and experiences for children. Some previous related experience is desirable including first aid and food hygiene training; however, we would be willing to offer training and support to the right candidate.HOURS:
40 hour per week contract with 34 hours working and 6 hours study time. After completing the training, you will have qualification of Early Years Educator Level 3. Paediatric First Aid qualification.Training Outcome:
The aprentice will be able to apply for Early Years Pratitioner role (if available) and stay at BS3 Community. With completed level 3 Early Years Eucator, the aprentice can be an Early Years Practitioner and with more knowledge and experience can go for Senior Early Years Practitioner. The apprentice can finish and start their journey somewhere else.
