Early Years Educator Apprentice

Support the learning and development of babies and young children through age-appropriate play, storytelling, music, and creative activities Help with daily routines such as mealtimes, toileting, naps, and transitions, ensuring children feel safe, secure, and cared for Observe, track and record children’s progress in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and contribute to planning next steps Promote a nurturing and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to be curious, confident, and independent Build warm, trusting relationships with children and maintain positive communication with parents and carers Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities that support each child’s interests, needs and stage of development Encourage children’s language development, physical skills, and personal, social, and emotional growth Help set up and tidy play and learning spaces, maintaining a clean, organised and stimulating environment Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and hygiene procedures in line with policies and Ofsted requirements Work collaboratively with Katie and her team of experienced assistants, contributing to a supportive and professional setting

Training:

This Apprenticeship is delivered wholly in the workplace, the successful candidate will not need to attend any weekly sessions at the Grimsby Institute unless Maths or English is required as part of the Apprenticeship.

Training Outcome:
Possible permanent contract upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship and further enhanced industry based training. An apprenticeship allows you to earn a wage, gain valuable work experience and industry specific competence. Transferable skills that are invaluable in the wider world of work.

Katie’s Cheeky Monkeys Ltd is a warm, home-based childcare setting in Healing, near Grimsby. It is run by qualified nursery practitioner Katie and her experienced team, who provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children to grow and thrive. The team is passionate about supporting early development and giving apprentices the chance to gain real, hands-on experience in a professional and supportive setting.

Working Hours :
Shift pattern TBC. Operating hours Monday-Thursday 7.30am - 5.30pm
